VVF Villages, 50 years of changes

The 1960s

VVF was created in the 1960s by the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and the Fédérations de Tourisme Populaire in order to meet two objectives:

  • Offering quality holidays accessible to the greatest number,
  • Contributing to the economic development of local areas through tourist spending.

2006: the merger

In 2006, VVF Villages and VAL, two major social tourism enterprises, merged to offer ‘France, all of France’, with over 70 holiday rentals located throughout the country, making it the leader in the social tourism sector.

2009: our logo changes

VVF Villages

In 2009, the association changed its logo and graphic identity, and adopted a specific market positioning: “exploration holidays”, which offer holidaymakers an exciting prospect: exploration.

VVF Villages is now resolutely turned towards the future!

In 2010, 428,500 holidaymakers were guests of VVF Villages properties.

Our current dynamic: our renovation policy

Val-Cenis Lanslevillard

Our holiday rentals evolve constantly: we are overseeing extensive renovations to capitalise on the beauty and development of our sites.

In 2010, a decorating charter was developed in collaboration with an interior architecture and design agency to guide these renovation and improvement works.

The charter focuses on three themes – seaside, mountain and countryside – and offers different environments by providing specific technical recommendations for materials and decoration.
